Tyrese Haliburton trolls Patrick Beverley after series ends

The Indiana Pacers got the last laugh in their spirited first-round playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks, and Tyrese Haliburton could not resist taking a victory lap afterward.

The Pacers ended Milwaukee’s season on Thursday night with a 120-98 blowout in Game 6 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. After the game, Haliburton took to social media to troll Bucks veteran Patrick Beverley.

Beverley was asked earlier in the series what he has seen from Haliburton while defending the Pacers star. Beverley responded “nothing” and told reporters to check the numbers.

Following Indiana’s win in Game 6, Haliburton shared a video of Beverley making those comments and captioned it “Con man. Flip from above the rim.”

Haliburton’s caption was a reference to the old beef between Beverley and Damian Lillard. Beverley and Lillard were rivals before Beverley was traded to Milwaukee and had a high-profile war of words during the bubble season in 2020.

They continued to go at it as recently as last season, when Beverley hyped up his defensive performance against Lillard after a game. Lillard responded via X by labeling Beverley a “con man” and likening Beverley to “Flip,” a character played by Bernie Mac in the 1994 basketball movie “Above The Rim.”

All indications are that Beverley and Lillard put their differences aside when Beverley was traded to Milwaukee a few months ago, but Haliburton wanted to be sure that no one forgot.
